Huawei P10 & P10 Plus: Review & Specifications

The Huawei P10 and P10 Plus are both premium devices. In fact, right now they are the hottest mobiles in the town. There are a few key differences between them: the Plus model, as you might imagine, has a bigger screen with a bigger resolution, a bigger battery, more storage and a slightly better camera set-up. This awesome new phone comes with a 5.10-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 1440 pixels by 2560 pixels. That full HD display is very bright and colorful to enjoy your favorite movies and games. It measures the height of 145.3, width of 69.3, and thickness of 7.0. The more rounded design makes the Huawei P10 look very impressive. You will be able to reach all corners of the display without stretching out your fingers because of its compact screen. The power button is slightly indented, on the right-hand side of the phone, and feels different enough then the volume controller.

The new Huawei flagship has impressive body and screen for better smartphone experiences. The P10 Plus is simply a big all-rounder phone. With an extensive 5.5-inch screen with Quad HD resolution, everything you look at on the smartphone is guaranteed to really stand out. P10 Plus feature flawless build quality, precision design with rounded corners and smooth frames. You get a screen protector pre-installed on the P10 Plus. Huawei’s P10 Plus offers up some surprisingly punchy colors by using an IPS screen rather than an AMOLED. The phone is very comfortable to hold, thanks to the curved corners and edges.

As far as the cameras are concerned, the Huawei P10 packs dual 20-megapixel and 12-megapixel primary cameras on the rear and an 8-megapixel front shooter for selfies. New Leica Portrait mode combines previously seen beauty mode and Bokeh effects into an easier to use package. Sensors on the phone include Compass Magnetometer, Proximity, Accelerometer, Ambient Light, and Gyroscope. The fingerprint scanner on the Huawei P10 is a big highlight of this phone. This is the first time Huawei has put its security scanner on the front of the phone for a few iterations. It sits just below the screen, and you can’t press this down, as it’s not a button.

Huawei’s long-term partnership with Leica is starting to prove a wise investment. The P10 Plus features a dual-lens sensor of 12MP and 20MP. Together they let you take high-quality shots, with a depth of field that looks like a professionally taken photo. If that is not enough for you, you can also film a video in 4K which looks super crisp on the Quad HD screen. Above the P10’s giant screen there’s an 8MP camera, which has also been made with Leica. The front-facing lens ensures bright and beautiful selfies, capturing loads of lights with the large f/1.9 aperture. The fingerprint sensor is now located beneath the screen, rather than on the back as normal.

The Huawei P10 is powered by octa-core HiSilicon Kirin 960 processor and it comes with 4GB of RAM. The phone packs 64GB of internal storage that can be expanded up to 256GB via a microSD card. The Huawei P10 runs Android 7.0 and is powered by a 3100mAh nonremovable battery. To charge the phone you will be using the USB-C port at the bottom of the phone, and there’s fast-charging here too.
